Heritage of

country pursuits

Our back story spans half a century of family ownership at the 3 Acres Inn; a Yorkshire institution, renowned for good food and refined service. 

 

Now the third generation of the Truelove family is custodian of the charming inn and the heritage of country pursuits lives strong. We have catered for shooting parties on local estates and grouse moors for many years, with shooting parties taking advantage of the inn's on-site gun room for cleaning and storage.

 

The inspiration for The Woodfired Oven Co, was to bring atmosphere and great hospitality to the fieldsport that we love. Live fire cooking and a field to fork philosophy, was the motivation to provide catering for shooting parties in the field.We are passionate about using local game in our menus. 

 

Building on our successes and experience at the 3 Acres Inn, Woodfired Oven Co is now enjoying success in its own right, bringing menus designed with flair, to add texture, flavour and atmosphere to the field.
